The Early Bird Experience: Speakeasy and SPJ
Though the expression seems often overused, many mothers have often taught their aspiring young ones that, "the early bird gets the worm." In the same way, many incoming freshman journalism students arrive at their selected universities searching for their select "worm."
From the daily student-run newspaper, The Post, to the credited glossy Backdrop Magazine, Ohio University provides freshman many journalism-related extra curricular activities. So how much are these activities actually teaching?
